Dental Cleanings/ Preventative Care
It is recommended that patients be seen every 6 months for a routine dental cleaning, oral cancer screening, and exam. If you are at risk for gum disease or have been diagnosed with the condition, you may need to come in for more frequent cleanings to maintain your oral health. Professional cleanings help you maintain a bright and healthy smile. Preventative dentistry encompasses all procedures and treatments that can help us diagnose and treat oral health problems in the early stages. We take the time to educate patients about proper brushing and flossing techniques and may recommend sealants or fluoride treatments for younger patients.

Crowns
Dental crowns are “caps” that are placed on top of damaged teeth. Crowns are used to restore the shape, color and overall appearance of the tooth.

Dentures
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available -- complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.

Digital X-rays
Dental X-rays are a useful diagnostic tool when helping your dentist detect damage and disease not visible during a regular dental exam. Our new state of the art dental equipment will keep you comfortable!

Scaling & Root Planing
Gum disease is a severe infection or inflammation of the tissues that surround your teeth. It is caused by plaque that is continuously forming on your teeth. When bacteria builds up on the teeth, it can transform to tartar — or dental calculus. This film of bacteria can make your gums pull away from the teeth and form large pockets you can't reach with your toothbrush. Your dental hygienist will create a treatment plan to address this disease process, and together as a team you will be guided towards optimal oral health.
-
Dental Implant Crown
Once the surgeon completes the implant procedure and healing has occured, Dr. Johnson will restore the site with a custom dental crown made with porcelain.
-
Bridge
If you have missing teeth, we can close or bridge the gaps in your smile with a dental bridge. A bridge is made up of two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap -- these two or more anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth -- and a false tooth/teeth lays in between.
